How are the godspeed dampers mounted to the hood? isn't it the same type bracket as the others where you have to take the hood apart and it raises it up by the metal bracket thickness?

Or did I miss a DIY somewhere with pics?

 

That's exactly what you do, Spin. I did one side at a time by myself and it didn't take but twenty minutes to get them both installed.

 

I've called them twice now.. both times I was told the person who could help me wasn't in.
The last I've heard from them they were going to send me replacement parts out if I sent them a pic of the problems. I sent them these pics. Haven't heard anything back and don't expect to.
Maybe I'm just unlucky with them, maybe I was rash in giving them a negative ebay review (which I retracted), but I've been around long enough to know poor quality. I've seen a couple of pair on different cars and they look of higher quality then I was sent.

I'm just chalking this up as a life lesson and using the one good damper for an automated dog door once the girl and I move into our new house.

heheh...you sure they are actually Godspeed dampers? There are a lot of replicas of **** out there...and the fact that they dis you all the time tells me that it's a shady company.

Send Godspeed the dampers and see what they say and do...you may be surprised!

 

Call them, it's the only way to get a reply that isn't a threat.
