Fuel Door

I just got an OEM Fuel Door from DoubleGoose and I was thinking of doing a little paint project on it or sending it off to get chromed. I need a couple of opinions I have an 05' Velocity Red 8 and I was going to paint it some kind of glossy black and if it turned out good maybe do the handles and some other stuff the same color or get them chromed what does everyone think looks better??? glossy black or chrome?

I personally have a OEM chrome fuel door. and I think it is alright, but I wouldn't make the same choice again.

Keep the original one.

Depends on which OEM version are you talking about.

The US OEM replacement lid was either chrome or satin. It has been discontinued. It had a plastic hinge, which was kind of disappointing (at least to me).

The JDM one is the polished aluminum. IMO that looks the best (other than stock)... but is (or was?) the most expensive. Don't know if it is still being sold or not. Here are some pics of it:

Comparison between the US and JDM fuel door:

stay away from the chrome...it just doesnt sit well with the 8. If your dead set on doing something go with the glossy black like you were talking about

One more question is there a place where I can buy some Brilliant Black Paint so if I bought a BB spoiler or BB front lip or something like that it would all match? And thanks for all advice guys, since I have an extra fuel door im gonna paint it to see what it looks like and if I dont like it then Ill stay with the red.
