Front Splash/Mudguard vs Speed Bumps

Hi all,

Just recently purchased a 2nd hand BB rx-8 with the appearance package. I've been tossing up whether to get the front splash/mudguards as they really compliment the rear flare. The thing that's holding me back is that it looks like the position and clearance of the guards are going to make them prime targets for steep speed bumps.

Anyone who has these installed with stock ride height be able to give their opinion on whether the guards cause problems with steep speed bumps? Don't wanna go purchase and install them just to find that they're gonna get wrecked on speed bumps.

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

as already said above, stock height (not a problem), lowered (you have to be careful)... mine is lowered and I have them on, no problem so far... I avoid speed bumps

If you gonna put side skits in the future, no need to spend extra money on these as you have to remove them...

If you are lowered you will hit speedbumps, specifically the very low-speed, narrow, tall ones.
