Do not go aftermarket bumper unless its official mazdaspeed. The rest are poor quality or way too expensive to get them to work. I would go with the appearance package lip that is a direct OEM lip. It looks good and fitment is spot on. They also can be purchase relatively cheaply. If you then want more, look into full bumpers. I still think the mazdaspeed front is the best looking out there.

I have the oem appearance package, but I like to change the front bumper to an MS bumper...well, it's just too expensive though.

OP- take a browse though this thread, https://www.rx8club.com/exterior-app...dy-kits-13713/ and then google search as needed from there, many of the companies that make these full bumpers also have lip kits as well, many can be found for purchase through japanparts.com and several vendors here on this site

you can get the vertex lang front and sides for around the same price as just a mazdaspeed front and from what i've read the fitment on those are pretty much spot on with needing little modification. it is frp tho while the mazdaspeed is metton or w/e but both are still authentic. vertex lang is a good looking kit too

Does anyone have a source for the oem appearance package front lip? I tried getting a hold of Mr. Black from Canada but he hasn't responded to the PM or email I sent him.

Thanks everyone!

What?? There are quality aftermarket bumper that fit with ease. I know there is a hard to come by front lip. I rarely seen them.

The ones that fit correctly like OEM are super expensive and typically have long lead times coming from Japan. The OP seemed like he was looking for something on the cheaper side, so I suggested not to aftermarket - as the cheap front bumpers are junk.

I don't care how good of one you buy, if you want it to fit perfect, your going to have to modify it. The amount of modification is inversely proportional to the price you pay.

Not true, there are legitimate aftermarket bumpers that fit well and they are not as expensive as you think. Bulletproof Automotive quoted me the Autoexe SC-03 for $1200.00 shipped (Mazmart quoted $1500). You can also get Vertex in the U.S.

Like I said, fit PERFECT. I have full INGS +1, and it fit very well. Just not perfect.

Well, not even my Mazdaspeed fits perfect. But my perfect and another mans perfect are two different things.

Yeah I know what you mean. I've seen JDM Mazdaspeed front bumper and the only difference from the JDM to the USDM is the middle bar. The JDM is slightly smaller than the USDM counterparts.

I never run into any junk aftermarket front bumper's. Maybe I'm just lucky. But the OP wanted to go the aftermarket front lip spoiler route instead of the front bumper. I don't see as often a lip for the RX-8 mostly front bumper.

Anyone know of a front splitter that extends rearward to the front axle line?

Hey guys,

So my front lip broke a while back I own a 2004 GT i have found the lip
painted here :2004 Mazda RX-8 Front Air Dam

Apart from the lip the pieces from the grill that hold the lip broke off too so id need to replace that too which is 130-140 total both airdam painted and grill would cost me $580

Now do you guys think that i should spend that much on getting OEM stuff or completely buy a new bumper....
