Front Lip
Front Lip
I wanted to know if anyone has that front lip on their 8, If anyone does I would appreciate some pictures. I live in Chicago and there is lots of potholes and speed bumps , do you think ripping this this lip would be matter of time or it would allright? Also should I go with plastic or cf?
Your always at risk with aftermarket front bumpers and lips. I live in NJ so I know all about the pothole issues. Our streets resemble swiss cheese out here. Aside from potholes you also have to be concerned with entrances and exits from parking areas that have steep slopes to them. I just exited a business yesterday and bottomed out my car which has a replica MS front bumper on it. I popped out the driver side turn signal, cracked the fiberglass bumper where it connects behind the same turnsignal, and tore the driverside wheel liner from the bumper. So I need a new driver side turn signal ($35), new wheel liner ($75), plus have to have the bumper repaired (fiberglass/paint) and refitted to the car. (probably another $200-$300) So choosing to have this bumper just cost me about $300 - $400 because of a steep driveway. The moral of the story is buy it at your own risk!
Lol I know I posted a picture but I wanted to some other close ups and side views thats why I asked for pictures
Thanks for answers , yeah I think I will order lip like but in CF , we'll see hows gonna work out for me

Plastic is cheaper than carbon fiber. If your car is too low, use plastic, cheaper to fix and cheaper to replace. If you have a lot of dough (not like me
), get carbon fiber.
), get carbon fiber.

Okay, now I feel better. I just broke my lip yesterday. the curb jumped out in front of me. I had to rip it off, so I could drive home. I need to know where do I find a new one (no I don't want to go to the dealer) Also, is it a big deal to not have one?
