Front bumper retaining screws loose
The wind deflector under my front bumper came loose?!?!
The screws had fallen out on a magazine long term test car. When I went to check mine, and 6 screws were gone! One that was still in was only finger tight. The panel had fallen down and wore through on the pavement. The wear is not too bad, about a 2" wide hole.
The magazine paid $175 for a new piece. I bought new screws at NAPA, and will just duct tape over the hole until I get a body kit.
My car is a late '04. I suggest that all owners check their retaining screws.

Are you talking about the flat tray under the AC condenser & radiator? Assuming you've not had the piece off yourself or smacked it on hard objects, shouldn't the dealer replace it?

Loose screws
The dealer didn't replace it for free in the long term tester. I had some more screws come out today as I hit 77. Made an awful shuddering moise. Couldn't get the car over 35 MPh without the cover under the bumper peeling back and hitting the road. I was close to home and used some 200 MPH tape on it.

Does anyone know the spec on those screws? I know there are at least two different sizes in length. I could not find anything similar in a local auto supply store. Should I bring it in?

I lost 8(!) of them when I first got the car, went and ordered some more from the dealer and replaced them. I haven't noticed any more missing since (the under-tray isn't drooping) but I haven't been under there to look lately.
