Front bumper repair advice

I have some sad news... I recently rear ended a truck with my brand new 8... I just barely touched him, but it broke the grille and put one little crack in the front bumper right next to the grille. Didn't do anything to his little S-10 luckily. Anyways, I am looking to find a replacement bumper and need some help. I seem to be able to find cheap bumpers ~$300 online, but when I talk to the dealership it is like $1200. I know the dealers are overpriced, but is it that bad? I am really just looking for some advice on a nice replacement bumper from a vendor I can trust. I am not looking for the whole body kit because those seem to run around $2000 for a good one, I just need a bumper that is not cracked... And I also need a grille, but those are only like $50, so I'm not worried.

Thanks in advance for the advice, or just guide me to a similar thread if one already exists...

dealerships ........ they like to bump the price up by 50-70% markup...

maybe if you want another bumper check or post up a "WTB" in the sale section. Maybe someone whoz replaced their front bumper with another kit will be willing to sell.

Are you sure its beyond repairing tho? (current one) maybe look into seein how much cost to repair it?

repairing the stock bumper is a lil iffy, but possible. if you just had a little crack, it might be fixable for not too expensive.

what colour is the car tho?

hope it not red, then repairin will be a bit more $$$$ (bloody paint matchin.......$%^*&)

When I rear ended someone, and went through insurance to fix it, repairin just the front bumper was less then my excess!! but then they resprayed my bonnet aswell to match the paint and went over my excess. I was sooo happy about that hahaha

Thanks for the advice, I'll see if someone has a bumper that they switched out for a kit... I'll also see if I can grab some pictures to show the damage, it is not much... I didn't even think of repairing it... I didn't know you could repair plastic. My car is the dark gray color, I forgot what the cool flashy name is, doesn't look like it would be hard to match.
