Front Bumper Removal

So I decided to put grilles on the front bumper. Just in the bottom center and over the oil coolers (they were taking a beating). The instructions that came with the grilles were fine for taking off the basic bumper, but when it came to the part about fog lights and headlight cleaners it has no explanation on how to remove them to be able to separate the bumper from the car. I looked around a bit but didn't have much luck finding out how.

Does anyone know how you're suppose to take off the fog lights and headlight cleaners from the bumper properly? I think I spotted about 4 screws (for each side) that would let both parts come completely off the bumper. Is that right? Those'll be a pain to get back on later that way...

For the fog lights, there is a wire harness for each light that you disconnect.
The fog lights stay on the bumper.

We don't have the headlight cleaner here in the US, but I assume it too has a harness that needs to be disconnected (and probably a hose for the fluid).

Straight from the shop manual:

Looks like there is a joint connection for the headlight washer on the sides of the bumper.

Thanks, that diagram helped for the washers. I didn't quite know where I should have been making the separation. Those fog lights though, I could find the connector just no way of actually taking it off unless I forced it. It'll have to wait for tomorrow now though, its dark out! Thanks for the fast reply!

I thought the fogs were a bitch. I think the tab is on the inside. push in to release.

The tab is only on one side.

There is something in the DIY section but it will be a search.

I guess I still don't see the issue with just leaving the fog lights on the bumper and disconnecting the wire harness
Everytime I pull my bumper off, that's all I do.
Once I remove all the fasteners and bolts, I pull the whole bumper out slightly (since the wires for the fog lights aren't that long) and reach down and disconnect them.
But to each their own. Whatever works for you.

Thats all I ended up doing once I could see what was going on, but the clips were still really stuck on there. Hopefully next time I have to take the bumper off they wont be so stiff.
