fog light question

i tried to look for hte answer but couldnt find it.....maybe im retarted for not knowing but wth is the big black plastic piece that goes behind the RH foglight for? and is it necessary or wat???? please let me kno thanks

I think thats what holds the foglight in place. You got pic's?

naw its not at its manual. and no it doesnt hold it in place theres the cover that is attached to the foglight and then theres an extra piece for on the RH side that im guessing goes in front of the oil cooler but idk wat for and why only the right side.
and no unfortunatly i dont have pics but heres an auction that has it on there....its the first pic on the right side foglight. its that huge black thing. let me know if you guys kno for sure thanks!!

Where are you from? I think some of the 8's sold outside the U.S. only come with one oil cooler so it might just be a cover.

OHHHHHH OK! I know what your talking about now. One was on the right side of my 8 too when I took off my front end. I have no idea what its there for. It looks like it can hold watter if it where to rain. I took mine off. I mean whats the point. I dont have one on my driver side.

Hi, two questions, I have a Base RX-8, is there a harness for the fog lights?
Is mandatory to remove the front bumper cover to install them?

I haven't seen any great boobies pix from Dom in quite a while. But his sigs were truly inspiring until the mods shut him down.

I finally found, this weekend, that removing the front bumper is as easy as everyone says it is. Probably a half hour each to install, replace.
