Hard to tell if this is a troll post.

This has straight up poser written all over it. Can't wait for threads asking which wheels or bodykits to go with this bitching flame sticker.

I'm not a troll. And I was serious about doing something more that was big.. But maybe I will try something smaller and similar to what I already have.. So now I'm just kind of playing around with it.......... I guess my money would be better spent toward some aftermarket rims...... hm.

Yellow & Black 18's? Will it look good on a yellow car? Serious question

I was thinking the same thing since the OP's first post

IMO decals belong only in the racing world period

And

Flame decals= extreme FAIL

But its your car, deface it if you must

Just putting on decals like crazy is one thing, but they sure are different.. And its fun. Maybe I should make a job out of it and create crap out of other cars like the ones in the "what not to do to your car!" thread.

The decal I have in my head would go onto the door to the rear.. well i guess it would get onto the fender if it were that long, but i have not got any.. in any case, the hood can be repaired later, and the fender can be replaced later as well.. i just dont have the money to do so, nor the time to try to do it myself, as paint jobs can be pretty sketch if done wrong

but maybe i should sell the car. it gets 12 mpg constant (non lead foot tested) and it has a lemon sticker on it. and judging by the hood with the very odd re paint, cracked rear bumper, and a spoiler without a clear coat, it probably has a salvage title (havnt seen the title[excluding the crushed in fender, as that is how the car got impounded in the first place]). I bought the car for only 5000, and im not a very good liar.. do you think someone will buy that, or something else with a better mpg report? probably something else since they'll think its a POS rx8 and probably think all of our cars get not so amazing mpg. im trying to resurrect it, and if theres a lil something that is a no no to you, then sorry..

so now im not going to put anything on it because apparently you're all about the things under the car, not the appearance.. so be it. i'll get to that stage one day. thanks for your input

So you are really into how your car looks, and you are considering getting a flame decal before fixing your hood, bumper and spoiler?... If you want the car to look good you should put your extra money into getting that stuff fixed. Fixing all of that will go a long way toward making the car look great. I'm not a fan of the whole flame decal thing, but even if I were, a flame decal on a car that had all those other problems still wouldn't look good.... Plus, a clean looking stock 8 is a good looking car in the first place. So my advice: fix up that type stuff before you do anything else. When you are driving around, flame decals will impress some people, but a clean looking 8 will impress a lot more.

thats true, yes... but, there is an exception.. with the spoiler, you would not know it had "problems" unless you were to wax the car up, because thats when i noticed some yellow on my clothe, and that was about... half way through waxing it i recall, and it was only that that was coming off, its not noticeable

The hood isnt noticeable unless you really look at it. Its very slightly pale, but somewhat similar to the official lightning yellow. still shady, yeah, but thats going to be expensive to repaint, so i've been told

And personally, I dont want to get the fender replaced at all, unless I got a good deal on it/knew someone at a body shop. I was going to keep it as a beauty mark, because its the reason why I got the car and does have a story behind it

worst case scenario, someone hits that fender again.. then i'll collect insurance money from them to repair it

try 60,000... or less considering the fact that you dont know the history of the car or the previous owner. could have been a rotary fan who changed oil every 3k, or an idiot who routinely missed oil changes at 5k

well it cant be 60 or less, because its at 84k now, i put 2k on it so far.. and i have been checking the oil every 2 fill ups, and i know it consumes oil, but it doesnt seem to consume that much i guess?
i think i only had to put some in once.. im curious, would it have anything to do with my poor gas milage? like maybe its having a problem with oil injection?
