Finding the right paint shop?
Alright let me say sorry for my english in advance and the weird words that might show up im in class and typing from a ipad.
So im looking to get my 8 repainted full body job going from silver to who knows what. Here are 2 of the places i checked out:
1: Is consideredna dealership i bought my car over and the guy told my 6.5k + tax
He basicly tried to brush me off i think he didint look very interested in the job. I also found the price to be slightly high.
2: Is a shop close to my house been there a good 10 to 15 years. I called them up and asked if i could come over for info and a price. Once i got there we started talking and the guy told me they would undo all the window trims the inside of the trunk the engine bay without takicng off the motor. They basicly said they strip all there cars to paint them. They took me in the back shop to show me around show me the cars there about to paint. There paint is garantied for life for the paint peeling and a few other things but not the rust unless there the ones installing new parts. They told me they will do the fitting of the bodykit and spoiler. I was given 5k max for everything. But told me not to paint it black not cuz they wont do a job job but there black cars scratch easy and he said when u wash it no matter what u end up with something that looks like spider webs on the paint.
Here is what id like to know:
- do any bodyshops give warranty on rust?
- Whats a good color and does black **** up that easy for real?
- is there anything else i need to check to make sure there a good shop?
- this is my first time repainting a car

Why do you want to repaint the whole car? It's a huge investment, imo I'd just trade my car in for another one that I like the color of. You should be able to find a different colored car and pay the difference...

yah but the investment aint a prob the car is in good condition. even if i got a other one with the color i like i would still get it repainted since i have to get the bodykit painted.
