I see it more as

If you are low, and any of the following [cannot angle, cannot judge if you can clear a driveway or bump, are not picky about driveways you go up, speed through bumps, etc........] don't go fiberglass.

Clear bra will definitely help with rocks. I've gone 2 years without a repaint thus far because of it. Before that, I was repainting every 6 months.

If the bodyshop people are the ones saying that comment, then they have not worked with fiberglass enough. Take it elsewhere.

soo... what did you get?
Hmm ... that sounds good then. I know a friend who does these clear bra thing for a living. He is on vacation now so I'll tell him to put one on for me when hes back.

Which one I got ? ... hmm ... not telling u yet hahahaha

When spring comes ... it will be on my car with pics ...

With a bumper I would go for fiberglass. As already mentioned if it does get damaged pretty much all shops will be able to repair it. Provided there is something left to repair. I don't like saggy bumpers in much the same way I don't like saggy *****. I like my ***** and bumpers firm. LOL. However when choosing side skirts I would probably choose urethane because of its durability. Just my two cents.
