^ Either way the wires won't show... And the looks will be the same, but instead you will have the option to turn it on and off.

But for me I just have it on whenever I turn my lights on because it looks so sick!

Depending on price (of course), I'd be very interested. I'd like it more if it functioned as a brake light as well (someone mentioned using a 7443, but I assume it would also need wired up differently?), but even if it was solely a running light I'd be interested.

How long do you expect turnaround to be if we would provide our own accent? I already have it, so it seems silly to pay for a 2nd.

i think this is a great idea and if you can pull off the derwankel quality you would have a home run on your hands!

For the brake light, I won't touch it for now since it wouldn't be necessary for the car to have a 4th brake light. I mean you can change the bulb and rewire it if you want and it wouldn't be difficult at all.

For the accent I have stated on the first post that you can provide your own accent for a discount.

Thanks

For those of you who wonder how difficult this installation is compared to the OEM Mazda rear fog light... Here are some brief installation instructions which I found out.

Ok I just want to let you all know that I have just looked over the OEM mazda rear fog light installation instructions. The instruction requires you to cut out the rear rotary housing, which some people found it quite painful and difficult to do. The cut out also may need to be quite precise or it wont fit. The wiring is also a bit difficult because some interior parts of the vehicle may need to be removed in order to wire up the OEM rear fog light. If I left something out please feel free to add to it.

I didn't mean to talk bad about Mazda's rear fog light, but I just want to compare the difficulty of the installation and let you guys have an idea. By all means the quality of the OEM Mazda rear fog light is top notch!

Well with this rear rotary accent fog light which I produced will not require you to cut anything. All is required is a couple of simple drilling in the rear rotary housing and some simple wiring. By the way I see it, if instructions are followed correctly, the whole installation should take no longer than 2 hours (Some may take less time).

For now I cannot say because if the group buy becomes official I would like to have a number of people place their order first, so I can have an exact number of the parts to order for the exact number of fog lights which needs to be produced. And I hope to ship a good number of them out at once. This will also guarantee the number of people who are serious.

Hope you guys understand what I am trying to say because I feel like I am explaining it weird.... lol

For those who are wondering about the price... Please understand that due to forum rules, I cannot leak it out until the group buy is official! So the more interests the sooner the group buy starts...

I can promise you that the price will be fair especially with the rear rotary accent included!

To make it a brake light only, all you would have to do is tap into a different pair of wires. You would only need to worry about changing the bulb type if you wanted it to act as a running light AND brake light at different brightnesses. The smallest dual filimament bulb is a 7443 I believe, and that is pretty big and most likely wouldn't fit in the housing anyway. The OEM unit uses a 7440 (same size, single filament) but the housing is pretty big (the whole inner section of the rotor shape on the bumper has to be removed) and it isn't inserted straight in, but at a 90 angle from the bottom.

If you want more brightness, 921 bulbs use the same socket as 194, so depending on how much room there is in the housing you may be able to upgrade. I have the old derwankel rear accent light and I modified it slightly to take a 921 and connected it as a 4th brake light.
