I think Shine Auto hit the nail on the head reguarding replicas vs authentics. How may sales do you really think FEED is going to loose because of this replica? If people want the authentic, they will get it. It's just that plain and simple. And FEED doesn't care about the US market. Their market is Japan, that plain and simple.
The people that are purchasing this replica would probably never shell out the thousands extra for the authentic kit plus the 10-week freight from Japan. Seriously, how many people are this list would get an authentic FEED kit if this replica wasn't going to be made?
It doesn't hurt FEED, it doesn't hurt the industry, and it keeps money in America. So what's so wrong with that?

so tempting. i have the same question as the vertex thread. what is the timing if this or the vertex goes down? let's just say for the sake of argument that we get the magic number by the end of next week. how much time could be expected for making the mold, fitting it, and then production of the pieces? if i am able to do it i'm thinking that kel's shop down in NJ looked good to do the work and i'd probably just schedule some vacation around that time.

 

im too lazy but just track all the threads in the autobahn thread of times from the molding process to pics right?

i know you want the kit so you might as well just put your name on!
