FEELER: Anyone interested in a replica of FEED aero kit?
Can't believe I didn't think of this, that's a great idea considering I can get the front guards prepainted for pretty cheap. I think I'll do that and hold off on side skirts for a while; getting stuff painted costs as much as the parts! thanks tiltmode
The bumper dips down just enough to flow perfectly - can't wait until we start seeing pics of this kit out there!
I've been thinking of ways to mount a plate to this bumper without it completely ruining the look, and I can't think of one single way. Sigh.
I don't really give a **** about getting pulled over for a front plate since it's pretty easy to come up with an excuse for that one; I'm more concerned about it giving an officer an opportunity to get me for my tint. I've got a feeling that I won't be running a front plate ever again after I throw this thing on...

Meh, that might work. Costs a ton of money and I wouldn't want to install it myself, so it would add up, but it might be my only hope...
I also doubt there'd be enough room above the grill for it to mount properly.

Stopped by the shop today and look at what I found!

The guys doing the work for this are really busy right now and have a couple of big projects they need to get done before the end of the year. I'll be giving them my car before my family and I leave for the holidays. When we come back after New Years, it should be painted and fitted.

Also, I'm having VP Auto do the painting and fitting, you should be familiar with them

Will do. I emailed Ken asking about this earlier today, it shouldn't be too complicated

I cut away the bottom area of the crash bar, its an added section that isnt tied into the tube frame itself, is it critical, probably, but it seemed to me that the only thing it affected was the hieght from the ground of the bar which is most likely a DOT standard. Youll gain about 2 inches in clearance with its removal.
Youll see what Im talking about once you remove your bumper and styrofoam bumper pad.

yeah cant remember his user name but he did the RB26 swap on a TiGray, he used 3 inch round bar, welded plates on the end that mated up to the 8 bolts shown in my previous post,,,

just brought it home and it's too dark now so this is the only picture I have. I still need to install my front mud guards. They did a fantastic job on fitment; it did require a little bit of work, I paid a total of $150 in fitment/installation (and that also includes drilling all of the holes and the mandatory sanding/trimming) so it definitely wasn't a bad bumper to invest money into. In regards to the crash bar, I decided against having the shop cut the bottom of the bar and instead I had them trim a small portion of the inside of the grill. I'll show pictures of what was done later on but it turned out very nice.
