Random question about body kits. Well this one in particular. How would the undertray fit onto the bottom of the Feed (or any) bumper if it doesn't have that little plastic piece with the "V" which comes on either the stock bumper or appearance package? Would an aftermarket bumper facilitate a makeshift attachment?

It doesn't fit. This replaces both the bumper and front lips.

I think the question was a bit misinterpreted by the other forum member.

If you ever take off your front bumper, you'll notice the black plastic undertray actually isn't a part of it - it is held on elsewhere, as well as to the black lip with the V you are referring to. Look at the pic on the previous page with my bumper off and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about; aftermarket bumpers so connect directly to the lip and either come pre drilled, with marks to drill, or even perhaps with no guides (though this isn't likely unless you are dealing with a shady replica company).

In other words, black tray stays and connects to the new bumper. The "V" portion of the lip is actually a part of the OEM bumper design, the appearance package lip merely covers the V with a color matched one.

College boys can afford a good amount, if they work for it

To tell you the truth, I really do not know when this will be available. I can tell you the front is looking like $500-ish and the sides $350-ish, a bit more if you wanted the carbon version.

Here are the facts:

-We have a FEED front and sides in our possession
-Both have been test fitted and are ready for molds
-Mold will take 1-2 weeks, after that the kits will be popping out

Been reading the "Shine - Customer Service" thread. The opener's experience has me slightly concerned. I know a replica is a replica, but I figured I'd bring it up.

Will the FEED kit have all the mounting holes (like for the corners, right under the hood edge, bottom undertray, etc...) drilled and ready to go?

BTW, I'm not having any serious doubts about Shine. But I do want all questions answered so that I and the rest of the people who've been waiting years for a FEED kit can prepare smartly.

Waiting years? Its been out for years, all you have to do is ponie up the funds, then you wouldn't have to ask your question about mounting points,,,

I agree with Rotr8. If you really wanted it for years then you should have already purchased it.

People buy replicas mainly for 1 reason and it is supposedly to save money. The other reason is because they do not want to wait a long time to have it shipped from Japan. In either case they have accepted it most likely will not fit correctly and the material will not be as good.

Is this not a 22 page discussion about the Shine Feed replica? Well excuse me for implying that people have been waiting years for this. I'm sure many people, though, have in fact been waiting/wanting a nicely designed bumper, such as this kit, but haven't wanted or been able to pony up a grand for it.

So in that regard, the authentic Feed kit has been out for a while now, yes. But this thread started in 06...and the replica is what I was referring to.

Looks like I got the general "it's a replica you get what you pay for" response that I was trying to avoid. So I'll try one more time with a disclaimer: I know its a replica, we all do, but Shine is a trusted replica maker, and I'd like to know if there is any information out there about it's mounting locations or setup.

If not, I'll just wait until the info is available.

The parts are shipping or will be soon so there should be plenty of feedback for you.
