Exhaust Tips from WALMART!!

Hey guys and gals, I was doing some research on here about getting new exhaust tips for my 8. I saw that alot of you are paying upwards or $100 for tips?? Well I just wanted to let you know I found a pair of resonating tips at WALMART of all places for $12.95 each. Now I know some of you will be skeptical, however I there are actually nice and quality stainless steel made from Pilot Sport, and believe it or not, they actually do make the car sound a bit deeper. I SWARE!! Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there. Here are some pics of them as well, sorry for the dirty car, its winter, what ya goin to do. Later.

If your tips get dirty, don't bother cleaning them. Throw them out and buy new ones.

If they are bolt on, you can take them off and buff them once a month.

yeah they are bolt on, pretty easy to get on, the nice thing is that you can't see the bolts because of the tips comming out of the bumper. About them looking stock, they are about an inch bigger around than stock and have a slight cut to them, can't really tell in the picture.

Yes, but first you have to cut off your stock tips because they are welded on.

These Walmart thingies look fine - certainly better than the stock ridiculously small tips. What was Mazda thinking?

I still like my Magnaflow tips though

Oh, yeah forgot to mention that I had to sawsall the old ones off. Not so difficult if you choose the right blade right off the bat. I was using a heavy metal blade, however it was too flimsy. So after i went to the wood With nails blade it was just fine. What you have to do is slide the blade in between the exhaust pipe and the tip. There are 4 brackets that need to be cut. Kinda a pain but it was worth it, these look much better than stock, I think.

^ Good thinkin'. No one could tell unless they look at it in person and know the exhaust system brands of the 8.

Nope, I wouldn't know that's for sure. Dude, I meant no disrespect, and if it came off that way, apologies. I'm just a little bit suprised this is how far the aftermarket scene has gone.

No offense taken, I was just stating the fact. I know what you meant. I am damn proud of my $24.99 find. WALMART RULES!!! Except for the fact that they won't say Merry Christmas, that does not rule.

I was expecting to see some double tips for each side but those look nice. They are just for looks for 25 bucks not bad. What are they made of?

They are stainless steel, and they don't feel cheap either. They are heavy and solid, and in my personal opinion, made better than the OEM ones. AND they are fiberglass packed, I sware make the car sound a bit deeper.

Here is a link to a site that sells them.
