Okay, has anyone actually bought this hood? I realize Duraflex does not have the best rep but is this a knock off of a brand name hood? I only ask because it seems pretty functional

I want a vented hood too but I'm just going to get a Seibon carbon fiber hood and have it painted so I can assure fitment will be spot on.

Yeah but you don't want huge vents towards the front of the hood. And, I have seen a ton of ill fitting Seibon stuff over the years so just be aware of that. I think I have looked at every freaking vented hood and the ones I like are way too expensive.

wouldn't buy it with someone else's money, I've seen some of their other stuff on some of the cars I competed against last year, you could see where they really had to work to make it fit and the quality of the pieces themselves were awful, very badly done, if you're really wanting a hood I'd go with something more reputable even though it will cost more obviously.

2 grand will get you this from r magic

The R Magic is sick looking but those huge vents won't help at speed from what I have read. They will help with cooling in traffic though if you are stopped But I wouldn't want to get caught in the rain with one.

Leg Sport's hood has a functional scoop and vents. No idea if it helps with cooling.

I have gone back and forth several times about buying the hood. If I can't modify the OE hood the way I want then I plan to get it later this year
