DIY: Headlight removal and painting question

I know people have done the headlight removal part but has anyone everr done the painting part? and not on an 09?

yes, ross dawg opened his up and painted the chrome parts black.

yea idt ima paint the reflector par i wanna get ahold of them and see if i can get any pictures

dont do it! i did mine they look alright but not for the time to actually do it i will post some pics tomorrow

Question, why did he reuse the silicon (the whole baking process near the end) as opposed to using new silicon?

well i wanna clean the inside and outside of the lense mines as well try it while im already there

I did it on my 2004 turned out real good, easier then I thought, I didnt paint the entie thing tho I painted everything except the small reflective part that is used for the high beams because i wanted them to still be just as bright.
