Talking did anyone get that knock off corksport ms front bumper...

i was wondering if anyone planned to get that ms front bumper from corksport w/o the turning lights and if anyone could photoshop the bumper pic on their site to a rx8 would be great. i was also wondering if that ms front bumper replica from corksport is made out of the same material on the stock bumper? and i was wondering on a previous post http://www.body-kit.com/contactu.html if this was legit and if anyone had called them up yet to confirm if it was the actual thing and if it came painted?

I just emailed them with a few questions.....pricing and material and differences between their stuff and the originals.

They were a very good/reliable company in the Probe community I know.

My only caution is I think their kit is fiberglass, and fiberglass kits have been known to need the assistance of a body shop to make them fit right - the fiberglass tends to warp when getting out of the mold

Fiberglass is the best if done properly. However if you get a replica kit, chances are that MOST likely it is of mediocre quality and fitment. Most all kits no matter what they are made up of, require bodyshop alterations in order for them to fit properly. ABS plastic which most stock bumpers for cars are made up of, good material. I believe the REAL MAZDASPEED bodykit is made up of ABS plastic. Some kits feature a combination of Fiberglass and plastic to strengthen the construction. Urethane is heavy but is resilient to minor damages, but for racing and performance applications - all the Japanese aero tuners use FIBERGLASS or FIBERGLASS MIXTURES (with gel or other).
