Dark Chrome Wheels w/ MS kit

This is my baby right now, just got the dark chrome wheels. Waiting on the MS side skirts (nationwide backorder, on my color at least).

What is that black piece of plastic above the middle opening in the front bumber and can it be removed, I've been thinking about the MS kit but I never noticed that strip before. I don't think I would want it if there was no way to remove it, just wondering before I make my decision.

That's the 'americanized' version of the MS front nose, it's covering-up the styrofoam behind it. They should have instead just made the grill go all the way to the top like the japanese style one, all you would need to do is spraypaint the styrofoam black and you wouldn't even notice it. I don't think you can remove it because the grill portion ends there (I could be wrong on this point). I've only seen the MS kit in person one time, just relaying what I remember.

IGO, my daughter says your wheels look "tight". This is teen talk for "awesome."

Nice wheels. Now I'm jealous.

Trussville is running a sale on them right now at $357.xx, I personally got mine through my local dealership. I have the hook up/dual favor thing going on :D The only reason for the sale price (which I think is good through the end of this month) is that there is a internal sales promotion for the parts managers from Mazda. For every set of 2 they sell they get entered in a drawing or something.

I had heard last winter that retail went up to $800 each for the (dark) chrome. This woud be a great time to pick some up if the low (well, relatively low) price is temporary.

no offense but seeing that chop, I'm that much happier with the color I got :D

Note, all the kits have the dark grey line across the bottom, and the vents should still be black behind the front wheels.

...that's one of the reasons I never made it as a post-production tech...
