cf hood question

ok i just bought a tc sportline cf hood and was wondering if its necessary to install hoodpins with it....any one have this hood and think they are needed?....of so you think i can get away with just the oem latch....personally i think the hood pins take away from the look.....let me know...

i've had my cf hood on my ride for about 9 months now and i haven't had a prob without hoodpins. I think the OEM hood latch would be sufficient.

you shouldnt have any problems with the hood as long as it is a good quality hood. but i would still reccomend the hood pins, as the stock hood is metal and welded together, whereas the cf hood is really held together with resin, and the latch may weaken over time. just my 2cents

oem latch works fine..hood pins look funny on the 8..kinda look like the car has a zit..

ok so it should be fine initially and only over time could possible come apart....im only keeping it on for summer months any way so i think it shoul last longer....thanks for the info guys

winter in jersey can get rough.....so i got 2 hoods i might as well use both!

im in jersey too... i dont get what the diff would be with a cf hood?
