Carbon fiber repair and my sucess

So, I have a seibon carbon fiber hood. it started to get all yellow and then started cracking. I've looked everywhere for information about fixing cracking in CF. and everywhere I've read it's been said to be impossible, just to fix the cracks and paint over it.

Well, I figured, what the hell. since I'm probibly going to paint over my hood anyway, I might as well try to fix the stress cracks over it and see how it looks..

So, I sanded with 120 grit unit i just barely saw the shiny weave poke through to remove all the cracks. and then wet sanded with 400 grit. I the cleaned the surface of all contaminates. and put on a new layer of clear Epoxy resin.. and wouldn't you know it.. all the cracks and yellowing are gone.. I'll post some pictures of the before and after in a few days. but I'm pretty shocked it came out so well, I don't need to paint it. It almost looks new again.

Are you gonna spray a clear coat over it?
