Which Carbon Fiber Hood to get for My Titanium Gray?

Hey guys I want to buy a carbon fiber hood for my 8. I am stuck between the Seibon KS Carbon Fiber Hood and the Seibon TSII Carbon fiber Hood. Tell me which one you guys think would look better on my car.

The first pic is the TSII, and the second pic is the KS.

That is too hard of choice.

Make it yourself. Otherwise you may be disapointed.

the first one isn't designed well. A bunch of straight vents don't match up well with the rotary motif on the hood - which is my complaint about most of the vented hoods for the RX-8. If I still wanted that, I'd keep the stock hood!

The second if it was me, but I'm not big on either one. I would go with the OEM style carbon fiber hood.

Honestly I think i might come down to 2 aspects...the grills and the aggressive nature of the hood.

I own the TSII Seibon hood on a 05 BB and have found it to be more aggressive than the KS hood. Secondly, the grills that are fitted in the open vent areas with the TSII hood can be removed completly and not compromise the safety of the engine. Removing these grills on the KS hood would open a large gap into the engine bay which wouldn't be practical.

Being in Phoenix, the majority of our weather is heat related so I decided to remove the grills all together. The TSII hood's vents are angled back toward the windshield preventing rocks or other small objects from getting inside.

Chickenwafer just got the KS hood and had good luck with fittment and did I with the TSII.

Also, find yourself a dealer in 3M clear bra material and look into having the hood covered completly with it. Most CF hood vendors won't warranty hoods for us in AZ for cracking and fading due to extreme temperatures. We have had very good luck with the clear bra preventing fading and sealing in cracks. We have a few CF hoods that are 2+ years old that look brand new. It's spendy but beats having to buy a new hood in a year or two.

I say go with a Stock CF looking hood.

All those vents make it look to busy, IMO

I have the OEM Carbon Fiber hood & I liked the looks of that over everything out there. But if, I had to go with a vented hood, for a Turbo application, I'd go with the TSII offered by Vivid Racing.
