Shipping Price: FLAT RATE OF $250.00
which includes insurance, tracking, and box/packaging

Seems a bit steep for something that doesn't weigh much. I also can't help but wonder what they would do to your side impact crash rating.

the doors weigh 12lbs a peice, thats a wieght savings of almost 70lbs per door. I'll be buying these soon, as well as the rear doors which weigh 10lbs

i've never really understood the logic behind cf doors. unless you really track or something and use it as weight savings. they just look nasty unless you cf everything. and even with that it's still kinda scary.

Me, I've nothing against CF. I think it looks cool. Notwithstanding, I'm weary about CF because ususally it does not fit quite right. I'd like to see a pic of these mounted. That and to know if it's go the safety beams inside? If not, then might as well take all the doors off and save all the weight because in the event of a t-bone (knock on wood) it'll just send pieces of CF flying at you like shrapnel and not stop even a 5mph impact.

Granted some CF applications can be really STRONG. I've seen CF as rims! But CF is usually only strong in one direction--either torsionally or vertically not both.

2 cents...

the weigh saved would be offset by the full roll cage needed to keep you alive...

according to the company that made the doors all the stock components can be used with the doors, so I would assume that would mean the crossmember beam in the doors as well, however....all good questions that would need to be answered before purchasing, as far as the carbonfiber goes, I'd have it painted to match the rest of the car, with possible some showing thrue so you could see that they are in fact cf doors

well alot of people are doing cf doors now a days. Mainly they are going for the time attack look. Very popular in japan, but they actually race their cars there.

Well it looks like they left the inside of the doors open for people wanting to kevlar them...then your side safety is complete...if you add kevlar to the inner working of these doors I don't see why you couldn't have a safe door at 20 lbs

We made some fiberglass-Kevlar panels for Cornell Mini Baja and we kept beating it with a hammer as hard as we could. It would deflect, but it never fractured.
