Carbon Fiber B-Pillars

ok so i ordered some carbon fiber vinyl off ebay (48" x 24" sheet).
can be found here with different sizes available: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/260856777621?...84.m1439.l2649

this stuff looks pretty damn good for a vinyl with a textured surface.

Anyways, today was such a beautiful day in Toronto so i thought i'd go ahead and apply the vinyl to my B-Pillars. i have never done this before and it took me about 30 each side to apply.

below are some pics, let me know what you think

So i finally went ahead and did this as well. I found the 2' x 4' wrap online for about $15. It's very simple to work with and I have plenty left over. I'm thinking about wrapping some interior pieces as well.

Looks good on silver and ti. CF is fine if you don't go overboard with it.

I completely agree with you guys. I won't be touching anything else on the exterior. Last thing I want is to be mistaken for a ricer lol.

I'm thinking about trying to do the door handle covers just like mazdaspeed. If it comes out decent I'll be sure to post pics.

I think the vinyl looks great if there is little cf on your car like the others have said.
I have a couple cf things and I felt the need to go with the real one because it would look silly among all the rest of the clear coated cf.
Here is a pic of the more expensive option for comparison.

looking good. also good to see someone had the same idea.
did you remove the plain black wrap from the pillar before applying the cf or did you just wrap over it?

I am going to try spraying a test piece of the dinoc with a few layers of clear coat to see how it comes out for a more realistic CF look , if it looks good i'll do the same to the vinyl on the car

I didn't even realize you could remove the black from the pillar. I just wrapped it over. I rubbed each area I was wrapping with rubbing alcohol before applying the wrap. Then I used an edge to keep air bubbles from forming.

BTW... Does anyone know how what the OP used compares to the 3M Dinoc CF vinyl?

I might look into clear coating as well.

I have some extra dinoc laying around and my stock pillar wrap has some battle scars... im digging the look of the dinoc with clear coat... I wonder what more coats would look like. maybe I need to do some experimenting.
