carbon fiber

Just looking to see if anyone has any information on what to use or do if exterior carbon fiber parts like hoods/truncks losses its gloss/fades.

any information on what type of coating it's used for this? I wonder if VIS racing can
re-coat.

take it to a body shop. drysand with a DA with 2000 grit and reclear

When you get the carbon fiber back to where you want it, look into a local dealer that installs 3M clearbra. It will be a few hundred bucks, but worth not having to re-work the carbon fiber parts every year or two from fading.

Several of us have ran this setup for years in Phoenix and had no fading except in spots where the 3m material didn't reach.

i actually just sanded my hood down a couple days ago cuz of that problem. it took me around 3-4 hours cuz mine was really bad. i used 1500 grit then 1800 then 2000 grit with a wetsander. came out grea, then i took it and ha dit re-cleared...PM if u have any questions about the process
