Just looking to see if anyone has any information on what to use or do if exterior carbon fiber parts like hoods/truncks losses its gloss/fades.

When you get the carbon fiber back to where you want it, look into a local dealer that installs 3M clearbra. It will be a few hundred bucks, but worth not having to re-work the carbon fiber parts every year or two from fading.
Several of us have ran this setup for years in Phoenix and had no fading except in spots where the 3m material didn't reach.
