I saw a pic on carbon creations website of a front nose with what looked like a duct in the front. First I was wondering if it was functional. And second has any tried to make one in the front nose?

 

The air duct is very functional with cut out hole for the air to pass thru to the air intake. If your RX-8 have an aftermarket intake, this front bumper will works best. Carbon Creation make two versions of the front bumper, a full carbon fiber front bumper and a fiberglass one.

 

That is something I will look into thanks. It seems like a waste my nose only has 5k on it with a factory gt lip. Just can not seem to find a grille that fits it.

 

um carbon creations sucks.. search very poor customer service and bad fitment, once they sell you the product thats it, they dont care...

is that from experience or from trusted word o' mouth. reason i ask is that i'm considering going with a cc front bumper...

what ive heard.. ask around or search ive heard a lot of problems with that company.. i remember one forum member bought the full CF kit had fitment problems up the wazoo and cc was no help at all

 

just read the entire thread started by "creative compact" on this. you're right. what a nightmare.... and an expensive one.

 

Maybe I will find a duct and have it installed for me
