Buying Parts in Other Colors
It can be very difficult to find exterior parts in Galaxy Grey Colour. Espescially used non oem parts.
If i were to buy the front air dam or side aero flares or a kit in a different colour does anybody know what the process would be in order to repaint it in my colour?
Painting directly over the other colour doesnt seem like it would make sense.
Probably a stupid question but how do you remove the previous layer of paint

not a stupid question... but if you want to do it right, you have to get everything from a local specialty paint supplier. they'll have all the right preps, mixing ratios, flexible primers...etc.
but you can still do pretty good quality with white as a undercoat, then your color up on top.
and seriously... disregard the brand (du-pont, 3M, finishmaster, etc) the outcome lays all in the prep work. such as your fine sanding, alcohol clean prepping, temps and a HVLP spray gun all helps out alot.

then again... doesn't rosenthal sell cppearance pkg in ur color for a decent price?
BUT, i don't see why you can't paint over the previous color... just prepping it right and you'll be fine. and using a grey primer will help a grey show better...
sure someone who's in the auto paint field can chime in for a top notch paint process....

I did not have a problem getting GG side flares and a front lip at rosenthal aka finishlineperformance.com. They weren't in stock but the wait was only a couple of days extra.
then again, some dealerships like to dick around too. i waited 2 weeks at one dealership to get a replacement drivers side visor, and another dealership had my passenger side visor in stock.

i got the whole kit for $225 and $250 to paint it.. so a total of $475.. which is not bad... a brand new kit from mazda is about $1000.. just take the kit to a local body shop and get it painted.. its better if you do to a little body shop. they will give you the best prices..
