+1 on this. I hate the mint blue sides. I like my aero sides though with the oem mudguards

i like the mintblue, i believe AIT makes a replica. I THINK both have shitty fitment though. let us know how it turns out.

make sure you take alot of pics when you mount it on the car, just mount it nothing else. take the pictures BEFORE and AFTER the prepwork and then AFTER the paint. This gives people a good idea what they are getting themself into when buying a bumper and how much prepwork $ they need to spend before it fits nice.

They said fitment should be good, but I will def take a bunch of picture of the fitment for you guys. I bought from AIT. They said the fitment is normally pretty spot on. We'll see though.

2k bumpers from Japan arent even "spot on"

ill be surprised if it is in fact "spot on"

dont be shy to take many pictures. Especially around the sidemarkers and gaps.

Unless you are skilled at this, I would suggest to have a professional do the work regardless. When I say professional, I don't mean the local hack body shop that says he's done this kind of thing before, but someone that caters to fitting fiberglass, pay the extra $$$ it will be worth it.

I always get work done professionally. I'll have the same shop do it that did my spoiler. And the bumper isn't fiberglass.

Poly fiber reinforced plastic is fiberglass with a slight flexibility to it, like the Shine Auto stuff, 100% urethane is something different, but I know what you mean.

from what ive seen, alot of companies claim pfrp but its not a whole much stronger than plain frp.. shine on the other hand has something goin, and is better than most.

I personally wouldnt buy any frp front bumper, id rather have urethane and have it sag in a few years and get a new one than a frp one that chips and cracks and splinters all over the place in no time

sideskirts and rear bumpers(not if you park on streets and get bumped alot) are perfectly fine being frp

There's not a real big difference between the two, I have had the Shine and an FRP sitting next to each other in my garage, and the only difference is the Shine was slightly more flexible, but boy does it crack and splinter when it hits a deer! That said, the only real way to avoid cracks is not hitting anything, which is something of a misnomer when talking about front bumpers. To eleviate some of the ground impacts unfortunately, higher is better, and a nice impact resistant clear bra helps.

Going to be making a new thread of the transformation of this bumper I got in the mail yesterday. I'll post a link in a bit so we can continue our discussion in a new thread.
