Tonight I cast my first resin cast test strake. I made my first mold last night and it needs to fully cure for 24 hours. If it goes as planned, I will be making molds for the other three next week. With this one mold I will try several castings and effects. I am going to attempt a couple of colors and ideas. One of the colors I will be trying is the same color of my car, Velocity Red. A couple of other colors are silver, black, clear with white LED, red anodized and blue anodized. I will be posting another thread on this if it is as successful as I hope that it will be.

Nice. I never liked the silver colored strakes on any of the RX-8's, but the black on black looks very classy.

I actually have a pair of unpainted fiberglass strakes for sale in this thread in the parts FS/W section.
I have the Xmen kit installed on my sunlight 8. I already had the original strakes on my 8 so I have the Xmen ones left over. If anyone's interested please pm me. They are unpainted so you can go to town on them and have something unique.
They come with both screws & 3m tape.
