blacked out emblems help

blacked out emblems help

so i just took off my emblems and painted it over but it looks grey and i had black spray paint, what am i doing wrong? why isnt it black any ideas guys?

no i just spray painted it black, i think maybe its cause the emblem is like chrome?

you should of probably primer and or sanded it so the paint sticks properly just my 2 cents i am not a painter

i just removed all the paint and sanded down the chrome and put on my first coat again it looks better....i think lol its dark out so hard to tell

Flat black or black? Sand it back down a little, get some dark primer and spray it with black again. That should do it

you need to sand or scuff the surface with 400-600 grit , primer & Paint, semi-gloss or flat

Like what other people said...sand it down, primer and paint. After that, you should be good to go. Good luck.
