Hey everyone, just need some input from everyone, i have a winning blue rx8 and want to have it two toned. Example, main color blue while emblems, diffuser, lip and etc will either change to gunmetal or black. I have a set of black emblems but before i put it on, i'm wondering if the gunmetal emblems would look better. The plan was to get black strakes, clear coat the rear diffuser and side view mirrors and put on some black emblems, but my bro said gunmetal would look better. What do you all think?

 

hmm... are you thinking of rims to go along with the two tone idea? I would say gunmetal if that's the case. blue looks better with gunmetal rims. if not, then it doesn't really matter.

 

gunmetal on blue would look good.

i'm interested to see wha the clear coat on the side mirrors will look like. Make sure to post up some detailed pics after you do this.

well, considering that the rear diffuser is not exactly black would be a deciding point for me... i think i'd go w/ the gunmetal

 

yah, im planning on going with some rims, maybe the ms rims or the g-games rims that bigO has but gunmetal. I know clear coating the the sideview mirrors should make it shiny... Maybe i'll install black first then post pics, if no one likes it, then go with gunmetal. But i still need more input from the community!! I also plan on going with the ms kit. I was gonna change the gunmetal accents to black or metallic black. What do you all think about that??

 

gunmetal or black, i doubt it would make much of a difference. i mean, no one really focuses on the emblems -_-

I would just like to say for the record I find it ironic you would photoshop out your Lisence Plate on the front bumper picture but not on the rear.

On topic - those look nice, where did you get them and are they available for the Rx-8 Emblem as well?

I kinda agree with cjkim that the emblems won't make much of a difference, but that's only talking about the rx8 community. Everyone else out there that doesn't know what car this is will be looking. And gunmetal would look good if you plan to go that two color car combo. me... I want to debadge that thing off.

 

i want to debadge as well... all but the RX-8 emblem.
Whenever i get my wing painted and installed... i'll ask the shop how much it'll be to do that.

The black badges, did you purchase them somewhere? If so where from? Been looking for black badges for awhile now...Tried painting an extra set i had but the paint chipped off after a few months.

 

Just out of curiosity... where can I buy Gun-Metal accents, or do I have to paint these myself?
