Black Chrome Tint on my blue 8!!!

just got my new black chrome tint on my winning blue 8 and man it looks awesome....... paid a pretty penny for it, but i think it's definatly worth it. paid 205$ which is a little steep but comes w/ a lifetime warranty. 10% in the back and sides and 35 for the driver/passenger and front strip

will have pics up this weekend

nice. is there a big difference looking at 10 versus 35? I wanted to keep it even and went 20 all around.

I have 5% on all windows and 35% on the whole windshield. It really keeps the temp down during the summer months, having a black intierior and all. It can sit in the sun all day and you will still be able to sit in it without burning yourself on the seats. Plus it looks real good.

there's not a real big difference in the 10 and 35, although you can see into the driver/passenger windows a little easier. since it is a type of mirror tint, there's not a big difference. the only reason i went legal tint is b/c with my old car that was modded i got pulled over several times just so the cops could check the tint percentage just to mess with me....

You live in GA? Legal here is 32% all around, but since there is no film that's 32%, people get 35%. I have 20% all the way around though. Still haven't gotten pulled over and I have pulled right up next to cops and they haven't done anything. I think it's more of a second offense. If I got pulled over for speeding, they are more likely to say something then. But, that also depends on the cop. All I know is, it makes my BB 8 look awesome and a lot sleeker.

hmmm, I checked the laws when I got mine done. If I recall Florida law is 15% back and rear sides and 28% front sides. I decided on 15% all around and haven't had any legality issues. As a matter of fact, I've pulled up next to FHP and Orlando PD and never got a second look. Mine was Lumar brand w/ lifetime warranty. Ran me $135.

I would really like to see some pictures of this, it has definitely piqued my interest. What the hell is the deal with NY having a 70% tint law. Is that for real? I thought regular windows have a darker tint than that and most states were around 35%...I need to move out of NY.

i've been tinting for what seems like forever and have never heard of black chrome tint. it's probably a dyed/metal hybrid film. and RX8 Zoom Zoom....there is a 32% window film. i install it daily. made by solargard. HPCharcoal 32.

The reason NY has such a screwed law is because there are so many law-breakers there. If tint shops just followed the laws they had then states like NY wouldn't basically ban tinting alltogether. Most windows have a factory glazing that meters between 70 and 80% which means you can't install anything on your car.....legally. yes you should move LOL
