see if there are 2 screw on the bottom, if there is you could probably mount it.

this will work just fine without the front air dam.

no drilling required. you just remove 2 screws from the stock black lip and replace them with 2 screws from the kit.

easy as pie.

i actually did, but instead of foam, i used velcro, because i tried using foam, but it would rattle in the wind while i am on the freeway, so i thought velcro would be the next step.

yeah, i was going to do that too, but i did not want to have it hanging under the bumper, because i have ha steep driveway (which i already scrape sometimes) so i thought it would be best if it want already lower than the bumper

also i plan on getting the Mazdaspeed kit, so drilling wasn't all that painful to begin with

I'm thinking I will see about designing my own bracket, using this one as inspiration. See if I can't get it mounted flush with the bottom edge, but secure in the wind. I figure the higher up you mount it, while still using the same under-lip mounting points, the more the wind can push on the plate.

I'll post if I figure out something good.

i've never had any problems with it being secure in the wind.

its called torque. use it on the bolts.

autozone off center install still looks like crap. Better than buck tooth though.

Is the bracket adjustable enough to install and flip under the car so that it is not showing at all? Then if a cop complains you can flip it out and say - "oh jeez, the nuts must have come loose?"

I did this this weekend when it was amazingly awesome outside and I took care of my car. I didn't go as far down and to the bottom as some did, I drilled two little holes in the plastic dam and then threaded the bolts through it. Took like 5 minutes! Actually took longer to figure out where I was going to put it.

If you see where I did mine, I drilled inter the plastic 'lip' that goes along the bottom. I actually drilled on the top-side of that piece. I can try and get a cell phone pic later today if you'd like. I just used a slightly smaller drill bit size and used the screws to thread it in; i've been running like this for months now.
