Awesome New Front Bumper!!!

3 Attachment(s)
Alright guys,

I put my new racing beat intake on today so i figured i would test fit my new bumper while i was at it....The new bumper allows for direct flow from the bumper into the air intake box....Hope you like the look i am going for....The bumper is not painted yet ...but it will be painted to match the car when the my new seibon hood comes in.....the bumper also has a real carbon fiber lip spoiler molded on....

here are a few pics...

lazi 03-13-2006 03:51 PM

looks good. but please tell me u got side's and rear for it as well.

XeRo 03-13-2006 03:52 PM

hey..momo...how'd you get that?..that was, what i thought, a one off that AcostaMotorsports had fabricated for their 20b RX8..

BigOLundh 03-13-2006 05:09 PM

maker sure to put a screen in the back of the hole.

momo stereo 03-13-2006 05:27 PM

the bumper is made by acosta motorsports.....they make them to order.....around $750.00 plus shipping...they are made of kevlar/fiberglass or all carbon fiber....I am going to purchase mazdaspeed sides and rear for the car.....and the Seibon TS II hood....and yes I already made screens for all of the holes and the one in the bumper that will be painted black...

NgoRX8 03-13-2006 05:42 PM

fitment is pretty good.

Detrich 03-13-2006 05:42 PM

momo stereo 03-13-2006 05:52 PM

Moostafa29 03-14-2006 07:28 AM

What happens if it is raining heavily?

Tirminyl 03-14-2006 07:51 AM

Possibly not drive it or stuff a water filter in there.

StealthTL 03-14-2006 08:06 AM

Drains......

Don't worry about a little water, the stock airbox has drains on it. If you are running something aftermarket, you're on your own.

all he would need is a turbo and instead of attaching the manifold to the exhaust exit, just hook up some contraption to be able to hold some sausage tubing and then it's a free for all...you can drive, run shit over and make sausage...and it's already pre-heated :) ...

gheez i crack myself up...

Fitment seems to be pretty good, but the gap at where the hood meets up is that due to the bumper not being installed 100%?

BlueEyes 03-14-2006 12:38 PM

There is a hole in your bumper.

i think the... rubber between the hood and bumper is taken off ... thats wut i think

IZoomZoomI 03-14-2006 01:38 PM

very nice! I actually like this bumper. Too bad you don't really have anything to really make the hole functional... They have one all carbon fiber you say? Dam that must be expensive. Becareful with fiberglass though, also the fitment seem to be off a little bit on the hood line... :Freak_ani

Kel Rx8 03-14-2006 04:01 PM

last year it sucked a rag half way in there :)
but I wasnt pleased with the fitment on certain cars.20b is original ms bumper

GrRx8MaZdA 03-16-2006 06:25 PM

Am i the only one who see a gap between the front bumper and the hood???
Don't like the fitment...
Maybe you have removed the air diversion panel cause that's how a friends car looked when he removed it-for no readon though

Acosta version of the Mazdaspeed bumper...Very good if you want to make a custom ram-air effect but pointless if you already have one..

momo stereo 03-16-2006 06:49 PM

Dont mean to be rude.....but for those that are reading the bumper was test fitted and not even bolted down anywhere ....jst sat on the car to take a pic....the car since then has had the bumper installed for exact fitment and has exact same fitment as factory.....TEST FITMENT...KEY WORD HERE... :spank:

SSJ 909 03-16-2006 08:09 PM

if I wanted to do that, would it be possible to make the hole ded center? I hate things that are imbalnced..

Tigster 03-17-2006 06:16 AM

It is lined up with the intake right now, so it gives you a direct line to the intake box. To center it would defeat the purpose.

TeamRX8 03-17-2006 06:46 AM

or so you assume as did the people who put it there in the first place ..

i was waiting for that comment, im amazed people passed that by and thought that was the final fitment you'd be driving away with.

gnathen 05-28-2007 10:10 PM

that bumper looks like ass. it looks like someone shot a hole in it with a 40mm grenade. seriously
