AutoExe CF splitter kit????
Im seriously considering adding a body kit to my shinka....as you can see Im a CF HO on this forum to boot....
I like the Auto bahn, the Auto EXE and the Auto EXE CF splitter kits...
keep in mind that I have the Seibon KS style CF hood and MS style CF wing already on the car and expect in the future to get CF fender vents...
Im leaning towards the autoexe cf splitter set because its not too aggressive, it would compliment my other cf mods and it would certainly give the car a different but sexy look...
your thoughts?
PS...i like the ings + too
PSS...you can view pics of the autoexe cf splitter set at corksport.com

someone wants a trophy i like the splitters, but is just about all carbon fiber the same "color"??? if the splitters are darker you'll notice with your hood i think, but if the carbon matches it'll look real good.

does anyone have this splitter yet? Ive searched on the forum, and on the internet, havent come across another picture of the splitter. It seems to stick out about an inch to far, but that could just be the angle.

Well, if you want it just for looks, that's one thing. I'm considering getting a splitter for track use next season. For downforce, they suggest 100mm (around 4 in). But $600+ for carbon fiber is a little bit much. Varis, TeamPrototype.com and StreetConcept.com have cheaper ones.

I just ordered the full AutoEXE carbon kit from Corksport - front/rear splitter and the side skirts. Corksport is less than 200 miles from me so assuming they have them in stock I could be installing them as soon as this weekend. I'll post pictures when I'm done.
There are good pictures on their website here:
Autoexe site
BTW - I have a white 8 so it'll look an awful lot like the pictures on their site; minus the CF hood/trunk lid and whatnot.

I got off the phone with Corksport a bit ago. They don't have the kit on their shelf right now so it's going to be a couple weeks before they arrive from Japan. No biggie. I'll be sure to keep this thread updated since there is obvious interest in it.
I did ask the nice gentleman from Corksport about fitment/installation and he indicated that they had never had a problem with the AutoExe stuff. So that makes me happy.
I'm really thinking that the CF Mazdaspeed style mirrors would compliment this kit nicely. Too bad I've never seen them for a LH drive car. Anyone know how horrid the RH drive mirrors are on a LH drive car? I know the magnification will be horribly off. Is it tolerable? Unlike most drivers in the Pacific Northwest I *do* rather fancy using my mirrors.

Altough I do track my car quite abit, it will be mostly for looks. I was just wondering if anyone has any other pictures of the front end. Its hard to tell how it looks, especially because I have no other bodykit pieces on.
IMHO the Varis one looks really cheap compared to the Autoexe, so thats not going to happen

Bump.
Autoexe had to build the kit for me because even they were out of stock at their warehouse in Japan. It's since been shipped but I still don't have an ETA yet. I was hoping ot have it installed by the NW group drive this weekend but I really don't see that happening at this point. Oh well.
Waiting sucks.
