i really like those shake wish i would have gotten some it might have saved my front end from bottoming out. as far as lower im on tein S techs and also have 19" i live in the middle of missouri so the roads are not the greatest, i did have problems bottoming out. Shake as far as ive noticed a simple drop seemed to clear up all of the fender gap as you had asked earlier in this thread.

Your 8 looks lowered Renesis, how much were you dropped with the autobahn front???...i really want to close the wheel gap a little, i just dont think i can get anymore than .75 out of it

How does your kit handle MA? I am looking for a kit, but iven the pot holes every 15 ft around boston, I dont know if its all that great of a move. Im guessing based on the quoted thread that yours is tock height.

yea mines stock height, with the splitters around here ive probably only scraped the front end bad once or twice this year..and that was mostly from not paying attention going up or down inclines.

Random thought: you know what's WORSE then having a replica???
going around and pretending it's real. I just love when people who don't have the decency to admit to themselves (or others) that theirs isn't the real deal yet they give advice as if it were.

Oh, and the siggys are hilarious.

the splitters on the bottom seem like a great idea but i'd be careful with those as Ngo mentioned. They can end up causing more damage.

My front and sides are Shine autobahn replicas, my rear is a Kenstyle replica, my wing is an ings+1 replica... Ill be the first to admit it, even though most people know that anyway. Sure it sucks, and id LOVE to have authethic parts, but if its between having my car look unique and having it look bone stock until I have the cash, Id rather have it look unique and save the cash. My 8, just like a lot of peoples are their daily driver so spending 1000+ on a unpainted bumper, then driving with it through boston, bumper to bumper traffic, the SNOW, etc etc just doesnt make sense to me. In addition I have over 3+ grand in my pocket that I saved taking this route that can go towards a house, and I could afford a lot better paint job and fitment work for the parts that I did buy.

I completely agree with you, but that where i stand on all that....

My kit was full on authentic... made by shine.

Nothing's wrong with saying you have the "Autobahn" kit when it's a replica...
Hell, no one knows what the "Auto-Spec Aero Kit" from Shine Auto is, it's also a pain to say the long *** name.

100% agree with Jedi and posted up the same thing in this thread and then deleted it. Just say what it is and not what you want it to be

Shakeyourbrakes...thanks for the pics. I gotta make something like that. But kinda don't wanna drill holes to the bottom thinking of 3m double sided tape and then clipping the splitter to the pumber on the back side. But probably too week, it might not hold. Well if I do creat something I'll give it a try.

I think we have the same eyelids. Mine are bought from Japan but don't know who it's from but I guess they might be KEI's?

gh8st....
Thanx for the comments. Ya I know TAS...had some friends go there before. I was originally from Placentia went to Irvine (UCI). Grew up in the states moved back to work after college. Yup the roads here sucks....I've got all sorts or noise with my suspension. With the heat and and bad roads I think all the rubber dampeners are all screwed.

Not too many Rx8 in Taiwan...a little over 100 of them. But dam expensive ..only the GT model is offered...cost me a little over US$52K......In the states you could get a nicer car with money.

continue....

My kit is authentic since even if I wanted replicas I couldn't even find them in Taiwan. And gettin replicas from the states plus shipping will cost more then the authentic from Japan. But I got a super great deal on it as I purchased it direct from Autobahn.....I emailed their website and I guess the owners friend in Taiwan contacted me. His friend is a car accessory import export guy. I just gave him a low ball offer and he agreed....so ended up gettin the full kit including the mirrors for about US$1300...I thought it was a good price when I compared it to Japan Parts. Some guy on the our site asked me for help before....but I can't find the Taiwan guy anymore....so sorry if anyone needs my help. The guy has vanished....oh the shipping to taiwan was free too since he smuggled it in in his 40' container without reporting to customs......hahaha done

Better get used to it because it will never go away. Not any different then discussing HP vs. TQ, Forged vs. Cast, Turbo vs. Supercharger and a ton of other topics.

well we all know when our ladies want to go shopping for shoes , you dont see them going to Payless jejeje

$400 - $500 for 1 front bumper & shipped is a reasonable price. If I were to find a used one I can say that $400 is fair enough and that's not lowballing anyone
