Anyone else have this ?
I noticed on my car , near the back fenders on both sides , looks like there is a sticker painted the same color as the car . My first thought it was there to protect from rocks ect. Enclosed is a close up , hope you can see it

i have it but my friends touring doesnt she doesnt have apperance package though
so thats maybe why it didnt come on her car.
i think its a rock protector

They are supposed to be on all RX-8s, but, I have heard of others who do not have them on theirs. I have them. I never had the appearance package on mine either.

I've noticed all 8's don't have these clear plastic stone guards sitting on one particular dealer's lot..... bizarre when it is supposed to come standard on all 8s. 
The only theory I have behind this is that maybe the Pre-delivery guys removed them thinking they were a protective film applied to protect the car during shipping.
Interestingly, I think almost all the new Mazda models have these protective strips in one form or another.

word of advice dont take it off. i herd a smack when i was going to work didnt think much really untill i got out side and saw on my driver side that the sticker was starting to peal in the middle. i looked at it and sure enough a rock bounced off and cut into it. i began to peal it off and there was no damage done to paint. went straight to the dealer to get another one.

aww, thats cute that people don't know what they are!!! but yea..they're pretty good, i've had to wash random sutff off mine from the highway and what not..stuff that would be otherwise part of my car now..if ya'll look closely, you have them on your mirrors, and all along the bottom part under your doors! !
