Arrow Anybody have On their RX8 stock sidemarkers a smoked overlay?

it seems like a cheaper escape from the yellow while they are not in use...just blacking them out...instead of spending the 80$ to get clear ones...anyone already do it this way out there?

yeah theres a bunch of people, some spay them. Mine have the vinyl overlays. best decision i ever made. only thing is from certain angles they look kinda brown. with the spray you can get it just the right shade.

corners

i used the vht niteshades tint spray.........got it off of ebay .......i scuffed them up......cleaned them......sprayed 3 light coats of the tint.......2 of the clear and polished them with my buffer.......pay attention to the sides of teh corners thats where it can look brown the most .....good luck

I did the same as pup. Mine are hanging up drying waiting to be clear coated. I did 5 coats but I did VERY LIGHT coats. I was worried about drips/runs.

just take your time and dont get in a hurry.....if you rush it turns out like crap.....i took out my tails and corners on friday and finished them ssturday nite.....plenty of drying time......dont forget to polish them.....they will look better.....good luck bro

If you have an hobby store near by, you can get an small can of dark shade. That is what I used to tint (smoke) my side markers....Good luck!
