I should have taken more pics. But my hands were too dirty.

Supplies.

500 degree engine paint Red + Black
roll of duct tape
razor blade
roll of paper towels
small box
brake cleaner
fantastic
soap and water

Step one -- Cleaning
Step 2 -- taped rotor and using a blade followed the outside line and cut the tape
step 3 -- four coats of each color paint
Step 4 -- put everything back together

 

I think it looks good. But i think if you interchanged the colors, the dual color would be more prominent. Just my opinion though. Still looks good. Nice job.

 

Looks great. I bought the paint and have been planning on doing the exact same thing on tuesday.

 

I was looking for more subtle look

when you paint ... accept the fact that your not getting a great job the first time ... you need to let it cure awhile and then paint again ... keep the layers thin or it won't hold... you can do 3 thin layers... per painting only.

next time I think I may paint the caliper bracket red as well.
