what is the meaning of the Throttle Body Max Duty Cycle ?

I'm looking for some information about the RX8 throttle maximum duty cycle.

when I look at the OEM Flash configuration I can see that the Throttle Max Duty Cycle is set to 84%. Does it means that the ECU will limit the throttle body to open at 84% maximum and if yes, why is it set like that ? Could someone explain why we need to limit that way.

I'm just looking to educate myself, thanks in advance.

If I recall, the throttle is set to 'open 100%' at 84% throttle pedal position. From there on it's wide open.

I remain, as always, subject to correction.....
