Question Waiting Time

I'm in a group buy and have been readin that the wait for a stage 1 or 2 is very long. How long do you with think it'll be CZoomer? About 27-30 of us.

If it's going to be 3 months, by then someone else will have something out....

I wouldn't count on it. CZ has the good stuff and I haven't seen anyone developing such a smooth plug-and-play piggy-back ECU as his. That's why I'm in on the GB too! Plus, I don't think that the wait will be that long. Right?

Access ECU will be coming out with a system to change your maps on the fly from CZ1 type map to lets say stock, or to a fuel economy map.

A 3 month wait on a product is just a bad way to run a company, plus read the threads on the Clear Corners.

Epit told me over PM that his other GB is in it's 7th week and still no CZs.

The bad thing is it is hard to get a response from them. We were told to email canzoomer jr but he never replied.

The only time I got a quick response was when I asked them if they would please charge my cc immediatly as I wanted to switch banks. Got a reply withing the hour.

Oh well.

I am sorry that it is takin so long for replys. It is partly because i don't want to tell you it is shipping soon when i would rather just wait to ship it.

I was also sick for a week and i am trying to get through the back log of emails.

If you send me an e mail i will respond.

order confirmation, canzoomer Jr was kind enough to return my e-mail to acknowledge that they got it. For some reason I thought that was standard.

sure there is a backlog- sure we all want our products- but what should Maurice do- deliver a product that may damage your car or that may not work as intended with all the Mazda upgrades?

I think they have acted as responsibly as any company could possibly- they actually are now delivering a significantly better and much more easily updatable product than we actually ordered.

Sure I'm still waiting like everyone else- but I was able chat via phone with Maurice himself, and got 2 or 3 replies from his son in a prompt manner.

I think you will also see Maurice not rest on his laurels- I bet he will be re tuning all the stages for some time to come and offering them for download to those that have purchased cables.

WHo knows- maybe they will even have different flavors of map downloadable for each stage- say you want economy, low end performance- upper end performance, etc. The revised product makes that all possible, and I believe no matter what other companies come out with in the future- my prediction is this product will stay current and useful.

Everyone waiting on the Stage 1 should just sit back, relax, and wait it out. CZ has a hell of a task at hand with the Stage 1 and creating a "happy medium" between its performance and its safety. With Mazda reflashing, it's even more complicated.

ECU tuning is a delicate procedure with many variables that need to be considered. Maurice is a sharp cookie, and he'll get the issues ironed out. After having the problems that I did with the Stage 1, I felt bad for busting the guy's ***** for two months while waiting for mine.

Just give him the time he needs and he'll "step up to the plate."
