Hey Everyone,

I've had my Stage 1.1 for approx. a year and a half now and have been very pleased. Recently and I don't know if it could be the latest flash from the dealer but my 8 has been sputtering in the higher rpm's. Especially during down shifts. I was in 6th when I downshifted into 4th to go around a 350Z. The car sputtered horribly. It has done this before but not to the extent that I experienced yesterday. Rpm's were around 6500rpm when it occurred.

In my other experiences it happens around 7000rpm simply when I'm pressing hard through the gears. Anyone else experience this? Any potential solutions for me? Thank you in advance for your help.

 

Sounds like the car is going too lean due to the new flash. Have you logged AFR? My 8 'sputtered' until I finally got the AFR rich enough. The map I started with was way too lean for my car. now my max adjustment is about 15%.

 

I thought that may be the case but I'm not very mechanically inclined when it comes to adjusting such things as the CZ. Any way you might be able to walk me through something like that or point me in a direction that might assist me?

I was hesitant at first, too. Its easy though. Do you have a CanScan?

 

I only have the cable that I got from CZ. Does that work?
