new n need help
^+1 ... there is like less than 3 days left
For power, upgrade your ignition and exhaust (catless midpipe will net you the best gains) CAI have mixed results and the stock Mazda tune is pretty decent
Turbo is where power is, but anything above 300 - 350 whp is pushing limits on our engines in terms of reliability

Get the Accessport first coz it can be used later to tune for all other performance mods that you change later. You still have hours left to get the Mazdamaniac Service + AP which is very worthwhile. As you mod your car after you get the AP, you can request a new tune from MazdaManiac if you paid for his service. Defnitely get the AP now.
Don't get esmril turbo ... your engine will be toast within a year of install .... I was just at KDR yesterday 6 out of like 9 rx8 engines they had there waiting for a rebuild were running esmril
I would suggest that you use that little search button because this very same topic has been discussed literally hundreds of times. You are going to get 100 different answers from 100 different members with 100 different opinions. Do a little research and come to your own conclusion based on what money you wish to spend.
^+1 ... it's your car, you need to make up your own mind at the end of the day... there are quite a few options available for power .... turbochargers, superchargers, NOS, to name a few ... each has its own positives and negatives
If this car is your DD, I recommend avoiding F/I all together and starting with simple bolt ons.
High flow Cat or Midpipe is truly the only cheap (under $500) N/A Mod that will yield any sort of respectable power gain vs. dollar.
Most other mods are for cooling/reliability/ or noise.....
Accessport is gone, that was the best mod for the money.
I suggest learning a lot more about the car before boosting; this car isn't a 'plug and play' kind of car. It is well tuned from the factory and is tempermental when you start changing stuff out if you don't do it right..
