Intake temp

So I know our cars run hot but I was just wondering what is normal. My intake temp usually runs like 15 -20 degrees hotter than the temp outside and the engine temp is like 198F. All normal?

How are you measuring these temps? If you mean coolant or oil temp is 198F, that sounds OK.

I noticed this too. I am running a factor intake and the temp at the MAF is 7 to 10 degrees higher than the outside temp gauge while driving.

RB Revi + duct here, and the usual difference between ambient and intake temperature is 5 degrees Celsius which is about 9 degrees Fahrenheit. This is while driving on the freeway.

I was talking about driving on roads is 20F higher. Im cleaning my MAF now to see if that has anything to do with it. Also what is that piece that you take from the stock intake to connect the air duct and the intake box. I didnt have that and am current using like a door sealant. Maybe I should buy that piece.

Any self-adhesive weatherstripping that allows the duct to be sealed against the body will do. The door sealant may be fine if it is applied well.
