Injector swap AP, double check my math and method please?

Ok, just got done installing my 900cc injectors in my P2s(middle 2 on the big rail).

I think the math is (900/380)*476
Which gives me 1127.4 as my new value for the Injector size setting?

Also just to make sure...... does this change go in "Bank 2 Injector size" or Bank 3?

I always prefer to ask the stupid question for confirmation than just go for it and do harm.

it should be (900/390)*476
which is 1098.4615
so put in 1098 in bank 3 injector size

BTW you are going to have to start over with tuning most likely. MAF scale and injector scale need to be spot on...if not the injector duty cycles may still be high as well as running wicked rich or even lean for that matter.

Thanks for the info

Now to go rip the manifold off again.... Something is leaking BAD when I turn the key on and it tried to pressurize the fuel line

Gawd I miss changing injectors on an LS1....10 minute job.

That was an easy fix, the rearmost Injector was somehow missing the top o-ring. Car started up fine and doesnt appear to be leaking anymore. Parked it outside, I'll leave it alone for a day or so to let all the gas evaporate off the engine before I drive it anywhere.

On the injector size, I keep finding it listed as 380 AND 390 everywhere. So I just split the difference and set it at 1115 for now. So its only 1.3% off regardless which is correct

-EDIT ...uhga! no..the leak isnt fixed. Just went out and started the car...leaking all over the damn place. Pulled it back in the garage. Is there some secret to seating our injectors I"m not aware of?

check the fuel line that feeds the two injectors up top---it can go bad---it is recommended not to reuse it. I would get a new one---ask me how I know?

Thanks for the advice OD

You know, I havent touched it yet because I"m so frustrated with it....but that is exactly what I've been dreading it is...

Let me guess, mazda dealer only item? They have to order them from over seas via Mars and it costs roughly 13 times more than it should?

Make sure that you lube the o rings. If you don't they could tear when you seat them. Also it makes it easier to attach them to the fuel rail. I used some mmo lol. They slid right in.....

I always just pull the dipstick for a convenient o-ring lube source

In the factory manual the injectors have an operating range - but from my flow tested secondaries and the middle of the road readings from the FSM; 380cc/min is as close to a definitive answer as I have ever found.

Yep, I saw your post over there. I searched for a couple of hours for an answer before I posted here

Lol!! Same here. I thought it was too basic of a question and didnt want to deal with everyone saying., "SEARCH"!!! I also figured it was in the Cobb discussion thread but never finished going through the 200+ pages!
