Phish - I don't know anyone who has purchased greddy's plug and play RX8 harness (MA-11). Where are you looking to get it from? Also, is your car an MT or AT?

The universal Ultimate (version E) should work just fine for the RX8. You will need to set the jumpers appropriatly but that is not hard.

Yes, you will need the A/F harness to connect a wideband.

Sounds like you have planned this and done your research. Good Job!

You would need the Automatic version of the harness (MA-10). Look HERE

The cheapest i have found the MA-11 Harness is 160.00. This is 40.00 cheaper then the Greddy price.

Also, i believe that i will most likely purchase the EMU and A/F harness from this sight.

It says MA-10 is for standard power. Does this means only works for NA and not turbo?

The harness in the picture doesn't have the dongle. The dongle is important. It is used to force open loop. The picture may not be what you would get tho.

MA-10 is for the standard power Automatic. MA-11 is for the high power Manual.

Thats one of my issues. I dont' know the part number for the dongle that I have. MazdaManiac might know? I have never asked him. It's not listed on Greddy's or Mohd's website, either.

as far as the picture onthe sight goes it is a generic pic, all the pictures for the differnt PnP harnesses are the same picture. so the 8 harness might contain the dongule. i will find an email address and see if i can get a reply

It would be awesome if turbochargers.com had the correct harness. Then you could get the Ultimate (Version E), the A/F harness, the EManage Ultimate Harness Kit, and the Ignition Chip #2 from Mohd. That should be everything. All you would need to do is rewire it...

the ignition adapter is not pictured in the pic on the turbochargers.com sight either. so i am hoping that it will contain the ignition adapter and the dongule and i would only have to purchase the A/F harness seperate. i emailed them and i will let you know when i get a responce. also ... what exactly woudl i have to rewire and for what purpose. i am not clear on this part as far as what gets wired and for what reason... like i said .. still doin research

You will need to read the Installation Manual, the Operation Manual, and this thread to understand how to set the jumpers and how to wire everything.

While Greddy says its PnP, their solution doesn't give you the full functionality of the Ultimate. By rewiring it like MazdaManiac and I have you have full functionality.

From the thread that you listed i know what the jumper settings shouldbe set at, but i am still kind of confused on what needs to be rewired if i am not FI. could you point me twords a specific post or section that woudl explain what needs to be done just for the N/A guys. Not trying to be a pain by the way ... just gets that way sometime

The wiring for N/A should be the same as the wiring for FI in this case. Thats why we rewired it. Greddy origionally wired the injectors for Add Only. For N/A you will want to trim fuel. But you cant do this unless you rewire it and change the jumpers.

The dongle is not available as a separate part and the upgrade kit appears to be no longer in the retail channel.
I will be making a MM version of the O2 dongle available for purchase in the very near future.
The only other part needed is the #2 ignition adapter.

I buy all of my GReddy stuff from Mohd.
He is very good, respectable and fairly local for me (he is in Tucson).

Gimme a link. I've already forgotten what I posted.
The last list I made was based on Tommy's research and was really geared to the MA-11 harness.

Ok, so i received the harness today. I am still waiting on the actual emanage to show up. It has already been shipped out though so now i am jsut waiting on UPS. The harness came with the Ignition chip but no dongle. Now is it just a matter of searching the boards for someone that has one and wants to sell, Or maybe one of you guys have an extra one laying around, or MM might have his own version....? Also .. since i do not have the dongle, what would happen if i did not install it. I know if forces open loop but doesnt the emanage have to do that at some point anyway to make the changes?.. The dongle just force open loop sooner so you can adjust at a lower rpm?... if i installed the ignition chip and set the jumper settings correctly without rewiring (cuz of not having the dongle) what would the major differences be as opposed to rewiring it?

So, you are planning to run an E-Manage Ultimate on a normally-aspirated car?
