Cobb tuners?

I tried searching this but had a hard time finding the exact answer I was looking for. I'm looking to get my car tuned in the near future and was considering using MM, but I would really like the option of having the car tuned in person. Does anybody know of anywhere that can tune an accessport in Socal? Or am I best off just using MM?

I didnt think to look there since I read tuning rotaries is much different than pistons, I wanted to hear people's experiences. But seeing that tripoint is on there I will probably use them

I've had enough bad experiences with this car as it is and I was hoping someone like you, 9k, Charles or any of the other knowledgeable people on this forum would be able to reccomend someone so I don't end up going to Joe Schmoe rotary tuner who talks a big talk, but ends up screwing everything up. Like I mentioned before I had a hard time finding the results I was looking for using this forums search function.

But you've made it very clear, just as you have in the past, people shouldn't post on this forum.

I've got a Cobb tuner near me that won't touch our car. Most reputable (Cobb) shops will tell you straight up whether or not they can touch your RX8.

There are basically two categories (as best I can tell):
  • Those that were told the RX8 was discontinued so assume Pro won't tune it and primarily tune GTR, subies, bimmers, etc anyway (WTF is a wankel)
  • The ones that bought a license specifically for the RX8 and know WTF they're doing.

I did MM, car is fine, old email process sucked, but I had a great experience with the new Google Talk process. Took a few days, but the car was usable the entire time. I also got some free troubleshooting to get the car tune able.

Whatever you do, make sure you are comfortable. If you have not bought the AP, the only way to get an RX8 AP is from MM (other correct me if I am wrong). It comes with the tune.

Awesome. I work 30 seconds up the street from there. Once I finally get a set of wheels/tires/coilovers I'll be going there too.
