Calling all MOUNTED AccessPORTS...
 

I just want to see if anybody has figured out a good way to mount it yet.

Check the AP thread there's a few pictures in there

mine's mounted in the glove box.

Yea I dug threw like 20+ pages and got a little aggravated....

3M velcro. Comes off with ease.

I went with the crappy cell phone mount... works, just not very well

i have a cell phone holder from best buy that costs 11 dollars. works good, holds the AP pretty solidly in place (minimal wiggle) and is in the same location as the one in the previous picture over the vent. there was basically no instructions that came with it though and it had a bag of small parts but i eventually figured out the puzzle haha.

i said i was going to take a picture of it a while back, ill do that today! promise! haha.

turborx8 when did you take that pic? 36 degrees is pretty cold! I've been enjoying 70 degree weather.

random question: what are you guys monitoring most of the time? Mounting the AP when you first load a map is nice but after a while... :scratchhe

99% of the time im on the AFR readout

That is what I would do.
Its the most important display in the group.

Are you using auxiliary AFR also, or have you found the factory wideband accurate enough?

^^^ yeah, but you cheat. Your AP is in the glovebox. That Jet Fighter cockpit you call a car has the readouts on it already. ;)

Its not accurate enough for FI tuning, but it is plenty good enough for monitoring.

where does the wire run through?

i think it goes through the console. you'd have to ask him. i didn't get any pics from the other side either.

I dont know about other states, but in california you wont want to get pulled over with the access port mounted. It is a quick trip to the referee which means a $350 fine plus the hassel of a smog check.

I keep mine in the pass through storage area. For AFR monitoring I use the MSD dash hawk, I can also see coolant temp, STFT, LTFT and every other stock sensor.

yeah true, luckily its easy to unplug and put out of sight in case that happens!

I know that the AFR must be checked after a reflash, but for a noob like, what would be a correct value. Currently at WOT, I'm in the 14,5 area which seems to be a bit high.

I am using the REVI intake. If this value is too high, what would be the consequences ? I'm not using my car that much, maybe 300 km a month, but WOT is used for sure every time I use my car :D:
